Ways for Teens to Make Money Hmmmm... Well, we all know it's true. Some kids babysit. But that job isn't for everyone and probably not for your kid, or else you probably wouldn't be looking for alternatives on the internet. There are lots of ways teens can make money - online, off-line, working for themselves or working for others. Below are a couple lists of some easy ways for teens to make money online and offline. Plus some additional thoughts on teen employment. Self-Employment Opportunities for Teens 1. Face Painting at the local art fair, parties or beachwalk. 2. Balloon Making at the local beachwalk, parties or art fair. 3. Henna Tattoo Artist at the local art fair or beachwalk. 4. Dog Walking 5. Dog Sitting 6. Handmade Jewelry at the local art fair, parties or beachwalk. Online Jobs for Teens 1. Creating an informational website for a long-term passive income. 2. Creating a product-oriented sales website for immediate and substaniable income. 3. Creating an affiliate website for long-term residual income. Some jobs for teens need parental assistance. For example, if you teenager wants to start selling books on Amazon they will need you to set up an Amazon Selling Account for them as the teenager is not old enough to be legally responsible for the account or transactions. Yes, this does mean that - like with everything else in your teens life - you are ultimately responsible for everything that happens in that account and all transactions. Nonetheless, if you are willing to take on that responsibility, Amazon is a place where a teenager may choice to learn a simple business and start their own company. eBay is another place your child may be able to sell their goods. Although Amazon may be limited to music, DVDs and books, your child could sell a much wider variety of items on eBay - from old clothes and toys to handmade jewelry and artwork. As with Amazon, your child will need to operate their business under your name, on eBay, and you will ultimately be financially and legally liable for all transactions. Dog Walking and Dog Sitting always seem like great job opportunities for teens, maybe because we live in France which is an incredibly dog-friendly country, maybe because we have a dog, travel a lot and are often looking for a dog sitter or kennel. Dog sitting is a great job for teens who perhaps aren't kid-oriented and therefore inclined toward babysitting. To advertise, it's just a matter of putting up signs at the local library, on Craigslist, at the local church, supermarket, the corner lightpost, in the neighborhood mailboxes, etc. For the more adventurous teen, becoming a Henna Tattoo Artist might lead to a very nice long-term and lucrative career down-the-road in tattooing. I remember when we used to live in St. Petersburgh, FL and would visit the Clearwater Pier. There was this cool bamboo hut set up where a couple teens or early 20s kids worked as Henna Tattoo Artists. There's no reason why your alternative teen can't start their own business painting beautiful hippie flowers, renaissance and celtic symbols, or the latest dragon on the local kids willing to pay!
