Hard Alcohol and Family Meetings I woke Sophie up at 6:38 am this morning. Recently she's been making comments about hard alcohol... comments like, if she were going to drink she'd drink hard alcohol. Comments said with enthusiasm. We've had fewer than 10 family meetings ever. Either of us can call a family meeting at any time, for any reason. We made this rule several years ago. We both show up and abide when someone calls the meeting. I called it at 6:38 am this morning. "Are you awake?" "Yeah." "You sure?" "Yeah." "I want to call a family meeting." "Okay." "I don't want you drinking hard alcohol." "Okay." "Okay, that's it. Anything from you?" "No." Pondering my thoughts... "Also, we're much too blame oriented. It's ridiculous and needs to stop. It's not healthy. It's dysfunctional." "Okay." "Okay. That's it."
