Dreadlock Q&A A: Hi there, We have several shades of blue, purple and pink. What are you looking for? Pastels? Deep vibrant colors? I'll be happy to send you photos. Yes, we can make them as double-ended dreads. No problem. Q: What are the circles on the ends of the dreads for? And also do you make dreadlock wigs? Thank you! A: Hi there, The circle at the end of the dread is a loop so that you can attach the single-ended dread to your head. We also make double-ended dreads, which have no loops. Although we don't make dreadlock wigs we do make dreadlock falls. Q: Hey, So I was looking at getting dread extensions in a Dark brown(almost black) color, but also getting a couple other individuals in different colors, i was thinking purple and white. How would I go about ordering that? And I was also wondering what your opinion would be on single or double ends? I backcomb my hair huge now cause i like the volume at the top. What type would you recommend for that kind of "huge" at the top look? A:Hi there, We can make the dreads in any selection of colors. That's no problem. Just purchase the dreads as normal through ebay, then either e-mail us directly with the specific colors, lengths and thicknesses or add it to the paypal message. I think there are many ways you could achieve a lot of volume on the top. As you mentioned, really think braids would work. You could also use a lot of dreads and attach them to smaller sections of hair - this definitely creates 'huge' volume. I recommend single-ended dreads for around the face as there is less control over how the double-ended dreads will hang. Q: hiya i already have some synthetic dreads but would like some more and was wondering whether you have electric purple and bright pink? thanks A: Hi there, Yes! In fact, we have both colors in stock so we would be able to make them and get them out to you rather quickly! Thanks for looking! Let me know if you have any more questions. Q: Hi, I don't know much about dreads, but I am looking to purchase some synthetic ones and was wondering if you could answer some questions i have. First, I wanted to add just a couple blue dreads, so my hair is half dreaded half not, kind of "streaked" I guess. I've never seen anyone do this so I was wondering if you know if this would work or look aweful? Also, I have no idea which dreads would be best to use? What they are made out of etc? Are the dreads you have ones you braid into your hair? Thanks for your time, really appreciate it! Look forward to hearing from you!!! A:Hi there, I think it'll look cool, definitely not awful. We use Kanekalon sythetic hair. It's the best for dread making as it tends to seal better than other types of synthetic hair products. If that just went over your head, no problem. It basically means we make our synthetic dreads from the best (not the cheapest) product available which ensures longer lasting and better looking dreads. If I were you, I would use single-ended dreads, especially since you are using them in the front of your head. Double-ended dreads are okay for areas in the back of the head or underneath, but for the area toward the face or the top of the head I recommend single-ended dreads. We have a picture of what they look like in the photo gallery of our listing - notice the little hoop. Yes, you can braid these into your hair. Thanks for looking! If you have anymore questions, just let me know. Q: I might buy some of these dreads i was wondering how if you can make black 3.5 feet long dreads? A: Yes, we can make them. The dreads would take a lot of work and a lot of hair due to the length, this would increase the price. What is the thickness you are looking for? Q: I want long length dreadlock extensions: colors 2purple, 1peach, 2aqua, 1lilac purple, 2whitest white, 1silver, 1bright pink. please and thank you! A: Okay. No problem! Q: Ok, just a few questions. 1. how would I go about attaching the dreads to my head? my plan is to wear the dreads under a headband/dread band ? can/should I attach them to the dread band? What would be the best way of attaching the dreads temporally while looking (somewhat) natural? 2. As I mentioned above, how many dreads would I need to cover my head? 3. Could you make some with a black/dark pink candy cane pattern? I hope you can make sense of my questions. I don't think I did. A: Hi there, 1.A lot of people use elastic bands to attach dreads temporarily. Personally, I think I'd use yarn that was the same color (or close to the same color, although under a dread band it wouldn't much matter) as the dread, then simply cut the thread when I wanted to take the dreads out. It would give a less bulky affect under the dread band, and perhaps make the dread band unnecessary. I haven't attached dreads to a band before. I'm sure it's possible. I'd guess the band would need to be very stiff or it would look lumpy. Or, put another band over the dread band. The top band would lie flat so that the bulkiness of the bottom band wouldn't matter. 2. The number of dreads needed to cover one's head depends on the thickness of the dreads, fullness desired and personal preference. If you use fatter, chunkier dreads then you'll need fewer than if you use thick dreads. Generally speaking you'll need somewhere between 40-80+ dreads, again depending on fullness and thickness. 3. No problem! We could make black/dark pink candy cane pattern dreads. Hope that helps! Q: hello i have a few questions first how long are the dreads and if we get fewer do you make them thicker also can you send pics of your darkest brown A: Hi there, We make dreads to order. So you tell us how long you would like them and how thick you would like them. The price does not change unless you want very long and/or very thick dreads. In that case they are $4 each with no volume discount. Unfortunately I don't have pics of the darkest brown. It is near black. The dark brown is very dark brown. The med brown is a rich, solid brown. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Q: Greetings, I have dreadlocks and want to add a little more style, how do you put these in? Also... how long can they stay in? & yes... can you clean them regularly & how? Give Thanx! A: Hi there, We can make them single or double-ended. Your choice. They can stay in until your hair grows too long to keep them in. We wash ours with shampoo while bathing. Thanks for looking! Let me know if I can be of anymore help! Q: the dreads in the first picture look different than the other dreads, are they a different style? i had some made that were supposed to be back combed but when they got here they were just twisted. not what i wanted at all. i am trying to make a jack sparrow wig and i need some really good back combed dreads, not twisted. do you have any better pictures of your back combed dreads that i can see? A: We don't make any twisted dreads, at all. The dreads in the first picture are some of the same dreads that are in some of the other pictures here on the ebay site. If you click on the smaller pics they will enlarge. If you click on them again, the pictures will get even larger. I understand your concern completely. It's a very realistic concern, but not a problem with our dreads. The dreads you see in the pictures were in my daughter's hair for more than two months over the summer. She only took them out because her new school forced her. As you can tell the dreads are in perfect shape and are completely durable for long-term wear. We make most dreads to order. As stated in our ad, the dreads are back-combed, twisted and sealed. Twisting and sealing is part of our process but it is the back-combing that keeps the dreads looking good and not falling apart. We don't make dreads so you can wear them out to a party tomorrow night. We make dreads that you can wear until you need to take them out and put them in again because your hair grew out and it was time to reattach them closer to the scalp. We are in the process of making some dreads now. We could take some close-ups of them, or additional pics of the dreads in the pics on ebay, if you like. Q: hi! I'd like to buy some extension, dark blond, clearly blonde and fucsia, but I' have to "pimp" just half of my head..how many dreadlocks do you think that I'll need? and what kind of method I have to use to apply your dread to my hair? my hair are dark blond and short.. A: Hi there, You will need between 30-60 dreads. The thicker the dreads the less you need. The thinner the dreads the more natural they look. It's a style choice. We can make single or double-ended dreads. There are several methods you can use to attach your dreads depending on if you get single-ended or double-ended dreads and whether or not you want them to stay in for a long time. We'll be happy to help walk you though the process! Q: Hello again I was wondering...if I order 35 dreads what would the shipping be....it seems silly that it would be 2 something per dread if I'm ordering that many....also can this material be dyed like normal hair? A: Hi Jessica, Shipping would be a flat rate of $10 after the first dread. Synthetic dreads should not treated like normal hair and I've heard dying or bleaching your own hair while having dreads in is not a good idea. We suggest dying or bleaching your hair before putting the dreads in. It's not necessary to dye/bleach dreads as you can buy them in the desired color. Hope that helps! Remember, we're here for you even after you buy the dreads so always feel free to e-mail any questions you have at any time even after purchasing the dreads and we'll be happy to walk you through the process or share any information we have. Q: i would like to order 12 dreads(3 baby pink 3 baby blue and 6 platinum blond lenght:25cm if possible thin)but i have problem with ebay payment becouse of shipping cost(i live in uk) what should i do?thx A: Hi there, No problem! We can make those for you! Ebay will convert the currency automatically. Go ahead and make your payment through eBay's system and it will tell you what you are paying both in UK Pounds and US Dollars. We frequently buy internationally and never have a problem. If you need further assistance just let us know! Q: I would like to order 1 dread in light brown to see how they look. Preferably a longer dread & as thick as they come. Do you have any like this in stock so I can give it a try? Thanks A: No problem. We can do that. Thanks for looking! Q: hi:)is any chance to have double ended dreads instead of single ended?thx A: Sure. We can make them. No problem! Q: Hi There Can you make 12 dreads in synthetic in color Black/Orange-Red in 11 inch each, for my daughter. What will shipping to Sweden be?? Best Regards//Ulrika A: Hi there, Yes, we could do that. No problem. Would you like each dread to consist of both colors (candy cane dreads) or would you like a combination of some black dreads and some orange-red dreads? The shipping would be $10 US. Thanks for the inquiry! Q: also...how do you attach them to hair so it looks the most natural...how long would hair have to be to achieve this A: There are different ways of attaching dreads. Many people use elastic bands. We don't use this method. We use thread for a smoother more natural transition between your hair and the dread which gives a more real appearance. It also makes the dreads more secure. We've never had a dread fall out. Your hair should be at least 4 inches in length to be able to securely hold the dreads in place. Thanks for looking! Let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Q: Hi I'm not familiar with dread extensions or the material used to make them....does it look all shiny and fake like doll hair when its dreaded...I couldnt really tell from the pictures and it is a concern....also how dark is your dark brown....I have white people dark brown....not black people dark brown hair (which is a pretty big difference) and I'd like to get the closest match...what do you recommend? A: Our dread extensions are made kanekalon. It is a synthetic fiber and the best for making dreadlocks. Our dreads look very real (when in natural colors). The dreads are not at all like the shiny hair of a doll. It sounds like you should get 'dark brown' rather than the 'darkest brown'. Q: You say you have 100 pre made dreads made? What is the color and how much for the 100 pre made? Thanks. PS Are they tightly made dreads? A: We have pre-made dreads in Purple, Turquoise, Bright Blue, Blue, Bright Green, Black and Med Auburn. The dreads are very tightly constructed and made to last, not just for a night on the town but for months of continual wear with small secure loops for really nice quality and a great look. We could make just about any color for you quickly, so if we don't have a pre-made batch of the color you want, no worries, we can make something to suit your individual style and needs quite quickly. Thanks for looking. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Q: I would like to ask you if you have any med. brown in stock & if you do, what length they are. Second how thick are they and do they hook onto existing dreads very well. Many Thanks A: Hi David, Yes, we do have med. brown in stock. We would make them custom for you in the length and thickness you desire. All our dreads attach onto existing dreads great! Thanks for looking!
